The essence of
Venetian summer

Welcome
to our
beach club

On the narrow strip of land between the sea and the lagoon, Des Bains 1900 is not just a beach club, but a microcosm to be experienced from dawn until late at night. An iconic atmosphere, where the club’s historic identity blends seamlessly with the most contemporary design and comforts.

Beneath the interwoven shade of the thatched tuculs and the canvas of the huts, the rhythm of the day is constantly changing: from the tranquil tranquillity of the daytime, to the ritual of dining on the Pagoda Terrace, right through to the celebrations and events that come to life across our venues.

The
BEACH club

Our beach club is designed to make the most of your time. Here, a classic day at the beach becomes a bespoke experience, crafted to ensure you always find your ideal setting.

The architecture of the thatched tuculs offers the tranquillity of a private retreat. The historic huts preserve the Lido’s identity, whilst the sunshade areas allow you to choose between being close to the water and the coolness of the lawn.

The
wedding
celebration

Choosing Des Bains 1900 means setting your special occasion against a unique backdrop steeped in history. From the lawn to the panoramic spaces of the Pagoda, the scale of the venue allows you to host large receptions, moving seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. The real privilege, however, takes place on the sand. As the sun sets over the Adriatic, you can hold a civil ceremony with full legal validity right on the beach.

This exclusive setting eliminates the need for guests to move around, ensuring a day without a single interruption. From a toast just steps from the water to dinner, the kitchen crafts bespoke menus ranging from traditional Venetian fare to contemporary influences. Service that pays attention to every detail, leaving you free to simply enjoy your special moment.

Between
the lagoon
and the sea

Situated on the Lungomare Marconi, Des Bains 1900 combines the sweeping views of the coastline with its immediate proximity to the historic centre. From St Mark’s Square or the Rialto, it takes just fifteen minutes by boat to reach the club and experience a complete change of pace. Access to the venue is simple and straightforward in every respect.

From the Santa Maria Elisabetta terminal, a ten-minute walk leads to the entrance. For those travelling from the mainland, the island can also be reached directly by car, boarding the ferry at Tronchetto.

A
century
of history

Opened in the summer of 1900, the Des Bains immediately set new standards for elegance on the lagoon. Its imposing Belle Époque architecture made it the natural haven for international high society. It was within these walls that Thomas Mann found his literary inspiration, and in the years that followed, filmmakers such as Luchino Visconti and major film productions immortalised its aesthetic, turning it into a global icon.

Today, our beach club is not merely a memory, but preserves the living legacy of those years, a real and tangible charm that continues to evolve just a stone’s throw from the Adriatic.
